Lambretta Unveils the Elettra, a Stylish Entry into Electric Mobility

2 min read

Lambretta, a renowned name in the world of scooters, has unveiled its latest creation – the Elettra, a two-wheeler that combines the brand’s rich history with a vision for luxurious electric mobility. The Elettra, presented as a role model for the future, boasts a unique design that pays homage to Lambretta’s 77-year history.

The scooter’s design is a delicate balance between the sharp, decisive lines of the front and the softer, organic rear volumes, reminiscent of the iconic Lambretta LD. The floating seat adds a modern touch to the aesthetic, creating a dialogue between past and future. Lambretta has taken innovative steps, incorporating a steel frame, 12″ wheels, and a classic double shock front suspension. Notably, the rear suspension is redesigned, showcasing Lambretta’s commitment to pushing boundaries.

One of the standout features is the wooden ‘retractable’ brake levers, cleverly hidden within the handlebar, alongside the market’s most innovative ‘hooked’ headlamp. The digital instrumentation further elevates the Elettra’s aesthetic appeal and enhances communication with the rider.

Functionality is not compromised for style; the scooter’s rear body can be automatically lifted, providing easy access to the battery compartment and a built-in helmet storage space. President Walter Scheffrahn, leading the design team, personally oversaw every aspect of the Elettra’s development, ensuring a harmonious blend of form and function.

In terms of performance, the Elettra stays true to Lambretta’s tradition. With a maximum speed of approximately 110 km/h and a range of up to 130 km (at a constant speed of 40 km/h), the scooter caters to diverse mobility needs. The Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, with its three different modes – Eco, Ride, and Sport, allows riders to adapt to various situations seamlessly.

Charging is efficient, with a lithium battery taking around 5 hours and 30 minutes for a full charge at home and approximately 35 minutes for an 80% charge in public places. The dimensions of the Elettra make it an ideal choice for urban mobility, with a comfortable seat height of 780mm and a weight of 135kg.

The Elettra joins Lambretta’s existing range, which includes the X series (X125 and X300), the V-Special series, and the G-Special, showcasing the brand’s commitment to originality and competitiveness on the international market.
