2 min read

At the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show, a remarkable vessel takes the spotlight: M/Y ICE, a 90-meter luxury yacht built by LÜRSSEN in 2005 and recently given new life through extensive refitting in 2020 and 2021. This vessel showcases a harmonious blend of technology, design, and sustainability.

Originally launched in 2005 as one of the most technologically advanced yachts, M/Y ICE has seen significant upgrades during its refit, including a full paint job and the addition of an elevator serving all decks. These enhancements have elevated its status as a modern luxury icon.

Notably, M/Y ICE stands out for its commitment to sustainability, boasting remarkably low emissions, vibrations, and noise levels. It also holds the distinction of being the first yacht in the world equipped with electrical Azipod thrusters.

The yacht’s exterior design, crafted by Tim Heywood, features majestic deck passages, while the minimalist contemporary interior design by Terence Disdale exudes grandeur and luxury. The use of carefully selected fine materials throughout the vessel further enhances its opulence.

Among its many features, M/Y ICE offers an elevator for accessibility to all decks. With an overall length of 90 meters, a 15-meter beam, and a capacity for 14 guests in 7 staterooms, it boasts a volume of 3,268 gross tons and a top speed of 18.6 knots.

M/Y ICE’s outstanding pedigree, timeless design, and impressive volumes have positioned it as a standout attraction at the Monaco Yacht Show. It exemplifies the epitome of luxury, innovation, and eco-conscious cruising.
