IVECO BUS has recently achieved a remarkable feat by entering into a contract with the Autonomous Region of Madeira, which entails the supply of 106 buses. This pivotal agreement is set to benefit two leading operators in the region, SIGA RODOESTE (RODOESTE) and Companhia de Autocarros da Madeira S.A (CAM), under the “Concession for the public service of road passenger transport in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.”

Scheduled for delivery in 2024, these buses will play a crucial role in rejuvenating the fleets of RODOESTE and CAM. The agreement includes a mix of 10 and 12-meter models from IVECO BUS, featuring the reliable 400 hp Cursor 9 engine developed by FPT Industrial, complete with patented HI-SCR technology. Passengers can expect a safe and comfortable journey, thanks to the inclusion of modern amenities and cutting-edge safety equipment.

One of the standout features of these vehicles is their exceptional operating cost efficiency, making them an attractive choice for transport operators. Designed to cater to a range of needs, including regional routes, medium-distance local tourism services, airport shuttle services, and excursions, the CROSSWAY and EVADYS models offer unmatched profitability and versatility.

Manufactured at the Výsoké Mýto plant in the Czech Republic, these buses benefit from the facility’s extensive experience in producing buses for intercity and mid-distance tourism services. To ensure seamless after-sales support and optimal operation in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, IVECO BUS has partnered with the IVECO BREGS dealer, backed by dedicated teams committed to serving customers.

This collaboration underscores IVECO BUS’s commitment to enhancing public transportation in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, while also contributing to the economic vitality of the area.
