Webasto Introduces Enhanced Connectivity and Billing Features to Unite Wallbox

At the Power2Drive exhibition, Webasto is unveiling its latest AC wallbox generation designed to meet the requirements of ISO 15118 and enable bidirectional charging capabilities. The new wallbox adheres to the MID and calibration regulations, allowing installation in public spaces. Equipped with WiFi, LAN, and 4G/GSM mobile communications, this wallbox provides seamless connectivity and offers a charging capacity of up to 22 kW. Featuring a clear OLED display and digital management through the Webasto ChargeConnect backend, this wallbox is ready to meet the charging and grid infrastructure demands of the future. Expected to launch in 2024, the AC wallbox demonstrates Webasto’s commitment to embracing emerging trends and staying at the forefront of technological advancements.

Additionally, Webasto is introducing its Power Processing Products (P3) range for traction battery analysis. These systems, already established in the USA, enable systematic charging and discharging of batteries to verify their compliance with defined specifications. With high efficiency and minimal energy loss, Webasto’s battery testing systems serve as a valuable tool for specialist users in research and development and battery manufacturers.
