During the annual Monaco Yacht Show 2023, the Columbus Sport 50-metre M/Y K2 made waves by being awarded the title of the best charter boat over 50 meters. This highly esteemed recognition was well-deserved, as the event witnessed fierce competition among a fleet of over 80 boats.
M/Y K2’s crew earned their place in the spotlight by amassing over 80 days of successful charter operations, garnering exceptional reviews from delighted customers, and skillfully managing unexpected situations on board. Its popularity is evident, with customers securing bookings up to a year in advance.
This triumph owes much to the dedication of Captain Enrico Orselli and the vessel’s ten highly experienced crew members, many of whom actively participated in its construction at the Palumbo Superyachts shipyard in Ancona.
The Columbus Sport 50 M/Y K2’s distinctive design, developed in collaboration with Hydro Tec studio and Luca Dini Design & Architecture, features a striking plumb bow and exceptional seakeeping qualities, ensuring a comfortable ride even in rough seas.
The vessel’s interior exudes elegance and harmony, providing accommodation for 11 guests in five comfortable cabins. The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to offer versatility and conviviality, with areas that can be easily adapted for different activities.
The upper deck features a hydromassage pool, while the owner’s quarters boast an expansive 18 sqm fitness area with a detailed gym and a hammam. The beach club offers ample relaxation and entertainment space, thanks to a retractable platform.
M/Y K2’s interior design combines exotic essences, lacquer, steel details, and luxurious textures to create a truly remarkable ambiance. The vessel is adorned with designer furnishings, including selections from Fendi, while the bathrooms feature cappuccino-colored onyx and Lasa white zebrino marbles.
The vessel’s commitment to passenger comfort extends to minimizing noise and vibrations in guest rooms, reaching an impressive 85% reduction at maximum power of the propulsion system.
Powered by two 2000 HP MTU engines, M/Y K2 achieves a maximum speed of 21.5 knots, a cruising speed of 17 knots, and a generous range for long-distance voyages. The innovative multitouch control panel, designed with safety and maneuverability in mind, ensures flexibility for the captain in various sea conditions.
