Candela C-8, Makes Waves in the Boating Industry

Candela, a Swedish company, has made a name for itself in the boating industry with its innovative electric boat, the Candela C-8. By rethinking the traditional design of boats, Candela has created a hydrofoiling craft that glides silently over the water’s surface, leaving no wake behind. The C-8 is powered by the Candela C-Pod, a motor designed specifically for hydrofoiling and breaking away from the trend of larger engines in leisure boating.

One of the most impressive features of the C-8 is its battery pack. Candela has utilized the same 69 kWh pack found in the Polestar 2 electric performance fastback, bringing the most advanced electric boat battery pack ever to the market. Additionally, Polestar batteries enable DC charging, which combines the longest electric range with the fastest charging times, resulting in the longest-range electric boat on the market, by a factor of two.
